Situated in the centre of Blackburn, Great Harwood Windows has been working with the people of Lancashire (both trade and residential) for 30 years. From our humble beginnings to today, Great Harwood Windows has been passionate about delivering the best quality products and services.
On 14th February 1990, Great Harwood Windows made its debut into the window industry. With an enthusiastic team of two, including Jimmy Hindle, who is still the Managing Director today, Great Harwood Windows started its journey making timber-framed windows for trade customers.
In 1992 we ventured into manufacturing UPVC windows. The journey continued, our business grew when we branched out into supplying UPVC doors and patios, and we expanded the team to 5 members of staff.
The business growth continued and in 1996, Great Harwood Windows moved into new, larger premises in Blackburn. Our focus at this time continued to be with our trade customers, but this changed in 1998 when our company took its next big steps by branching out into conservatories. However, this wasn’t all, we also built a bespoke showroom and expanded into the residential market too!
Over the next 8 years, both our residential and trade business continued to flourish. Indeed, by 2006, we were once again looking for new premises. The perfect premises were found, and we moved to Peter Street, Blackburn. The premises proved to be so well-suited we are still there today!
In 2013, Great Harwood Windows, made the decision to streamline our business and alongside this, to move into aluminum and glass balustrades and other product areas.
Throughout every step of our journey over the last 30 years, Great Harwood Windows has always taken pride in who we are. The key to our growth is the exceptional service we deliver to our customers. It is and has always been our mission to have a reputation for high standards, and expert industry knowledge. This has never changed. Indeed, you only have to read our customer testimonials to see how our hard work has paid off!
It is not only our customers who have recognised our achievements. Great Harwood Windows has also received industry recognition too. We are justifiably proud of the awards we have been given for customer services and manufacturing.
Today our business, with its revamped customer showroom and trade counter, continues to grow from strength to strength. We now have a dedicated team of 15 members of staff and Great Harwood Windows’ vision for the coming years is to continue to move our business in line with customer trends. At the same time. never forgetting our focus of investing in the best materials, products and customer service.
